IN SPACE
REAL PHOTOGRAPHS. REAL WORKS. REAL SPACES.
No renderings. No generated interiors. No digitally borrowed walls.
Even after all these years, the first moment a finished work meets the right room gets me every time.
I stand there, look — and for a moment, I’m simply happy.
We looked for places with enough character for the works: collectors’ rooms and locations worth returning to with a van.
Then the works were hauled in, moved, hung, straightened and photographed.
Reality has no drag-and-drop function. It also takes a few days.
Good.
Because scale, weight, glass, reflections and changing light are part of the work.
A screen shows the photograph.
The room gets the work.
