WHERE IMAGE, MATERIAL AND SPACE BECOME ART.

An image is not yet a work. It becomes one through decisions: the paper that gives it substance, the print that clarifies its form, the frame that gives it structure, the glass that protects without intruding, and the scale at which it enters the room. In ATELI’R, none of these elements is added afterwards. They are composed together from the beginning. The result is not a reproduction placed on a wall, but a physical object with edge, depth, weight and presence.

Ein Bild ist noch kein Werk. Es wird eines durch Entscheidungen: das Papier, das ihm Substanz gibt; der Druck, der seine Form klärt; der Rahmen, der ihm Struktur verleiht; das Glas, das schützt, ohne sich einzumischen; und der Maßstab, in dem es den Raum betritt. Bei ATELI’R wird keines dieser Elemente nachträglich hinzugefügt. Sie werden von Anfang an gemeinsam gedacht. So entsteht keine Reproduktion für eine Wand, sondern ein physisches Objekt mit Kante, Tiefe, Gewicht und Präsenz.
