This green does not come from above. It crawls up from below. Like toxic slime sent from hell, it spreads across stone, root and water as if it were not trying to cover things, but to take them over. Nothing in this image is pastoral. It glows, rots, works. A wet, luminous mass suspended between origin and decay. The title is not a joke. It is a precision tool. It pulls the image out of false reverence and gives it body, friction, taste. Suddenly this is no longer nature. It is substance. Something fermenting. Something alive. Something that quietly works its way into the mind. An image like a damp attack from below. Its beauty lies only in the fact that it refuses to calm down.
