7 WET BASTARDS
Riders on the storm
Night. Rain. Seven Porsche 911s.
Some scenes need directing.
This one apparently only needed bad weather.
The 911s emerge through a curtain of rain. Streetlights break across the water, running over asphalt and bodywork until the road barely feels like a road anymore.
More like a black mirror.
Then they come.
One by one.
Not really driving.
More appearing.
Like figures the night has released for a few seconds and will probably want back shortly.
You think of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Except there are seven of them.
And this time, the horses came from Stuttgart.
Water erases the contours. Lights fall apart. Headlamps, reflections and silhouettes are all that remain.
No winner.
No finish line.
Hardly even a racetrack.
Good.
7 WET BASTARDS is less motorsport than apparition.
Night. Weather. Motion.
And seven 911s that look remarkably uninterested in going home.
