This is not a conventional image of architecture. The building has withdrawn, leaving behind only its essential forces: line, interval, rhythm and colour. Beams cross the space like strokes in a drawing, shadows repeat their geometry, and a narrow band of light pulls the eye deeper into the composition. Nothing describes the room. Everything defines its proportions.

Violet depths, bronze lines and pale surfaces turn construction into a chromatic order. The perspective remains deliberately unsettled: there is no secure horizon, no single direction in which the image can be read. The eye moves across, downward and back again, caught between balance and vertigo. THE VIOLET SECTION is architecture liberated from function — a spatial composition in which geometry no longer supports a building, but carries the image itself.

Canadian Hard Maple

THE MATERIAL

Canadian hard maple is prized for its exceptionally pale, clean appearance and finely restrained grain. It remains remarkably light and may develop only a subtle rose cast with age.

WHY THIS EDITION

For this edition, Northern Light was the natural choice wherever clarity, brightness and an almost weightless presence were essential.

ATELIER FINISH

A subtly violet-tinted finish, introduced as a quiet response to the colour within the work. Developed exclusively for this work.

THE COMPLETION

Each edition is individually crafted in Germany from carefully selected solid wood and completed with museum-quality glazing and conservation-grade materials. Built to preserve the work for generations.
