We are where normally only mechanics, engineers and people wearing fireproof gloves are expected to survive.
Clamped inside a vice of time pressure, heat and engine noise. One of the very few places a photographer could stand inside the pit during the race while the crew worked at full load.
This detail is not about a tyre.
It is about a system at the edge of collapse.
Brembo calipers grabbing into the carbon core like heated tools. Michelin slicks carrying layers of night, asphalt and temperature. Fasteners that do not merely have to hold — they decide between winning and stopping.
