Less Suddenly Becomes a Lot
The fog has tidied up.
Thoroughly.
Land, depth, distance — almost everything gone.
What remains are lines.
A few horizontal marks. Fine cuts. Transitions that look as if someone passed a very calm brush across the landscape.
Apparently, that is enough.
The fog does not hide anything here.
It reduces.
Volume disappears. Coast becomes surface. Landscape becomes drawing. And at some point, the whole thing feels less like photography and more like Japanese ink painting with distinctly Nordic weather.
NEBELLINIE I is an image about leaving things out.
Not as deprivation.
More as luxury.
Because when almost nothing remains, every line suddenly matters.
Together with NEBELLINIE ZWEI, the work forms a diptych.
