The Rear Portrait This is the second portrait of the same thoroughbred. From behind, the Porsche 917 feels even less like a car. It becomes body, stance, width. Two massive tyres, two Shell fins, tubing, exhausts, patina — everything faces us like the anatomy of an old champion who no longer needs to present himself. Again, this is not about motorsport nostalgia. It is about rank. About material that has lived a life. About silver, Martini blue, yellowed surfaces, battle marks and a dignity no perfect restoration shine could ever reach. As a diptych with SILVER BLUE SPORTSMAN , it becomes an almost classical sporting portrait in two views: not a race car as object, but a champion as presence. A body made of speed, history and old class. Not polished. Not tamed. Only greater through everything it has carried.

Von hinten wirkt der Porsche 917 noch weniger wie ein Auto. Er wird Körper, Haltung, Breite. Zwei mächtige Reifen, zwei Shell-Flügel, Rohrwerk, Auspuff, Patina — alles steht frontal da wie die Anatomie eines alten Champions, der sich nicht mehr präsentieren muss.
Auch hier geht es nicht um Motorsport-Nostalgie. Es geht um Rang. Um Material, das ein Leben hinter sich hat. Um Silber, Martini-Blau, vergilbte Flächen, Kampfspuren und jene Würde, die kein perfekter Restaurationsglanz je erreichen würde.
Als Diptychon mit SILVER BLUE SPORTSMAN entsteht daraus ein fast klassisches Sporting Portrait in zwei Ansichten: nicht Rennwagen als Objekt, sondern Champion als Erscheinung. Ein Körper aus Geschwindigkeit, Geschichte und alter Klasse.
