You stand only two metres from a wall. And suddenly you see a land.
Basalt, fracture, shadow, motion turned solid. What is surface today was once pressure from below — heat, force, open earth. The Rhön appears here not as landscape, but as its own beginning: a piece of cooled unrest, close enough to see the scars, far enough to recognise a mountain range within it.
The image takes scale away from you. Stone becomes topography. A surface becomes deep time. Not as geological explanation, but as a reminder that even the hardest matter was once fluid, hot, unresolved.
MASSIF does not show a rock. It shows the moment when the earth began to take form.
