THE FERRYMAN — REAR STUDY
The Crossing Has Begun
With his back to us, the ferryman has already entered the darkness.
No face now. No visor. No looking back.
Only direction.
Metallic folds, harness lines, the narrow technical spine. Suddenly, we no longer see the hero.
We see what carries him.
And what he has to carry himself.
Pressure.
Silence.
Weight.
The unknown.
From behind, the ferryman does not seem to be walking away.
He is changing states.
This is the darker half of the work.
The side of departure nobody applauds. The moment when the world behind can no longer help, and the world ahead has not yet begun.
THE FERRYMAN — REAR STUDY is therefore not the back of an astronaut.
It is the back of the myth.
The burden behind the image.
The body as a vessel between two worlds.
The Front Study is still looking at us.
The Rear Study is not.
The crossing has begun.
