New York’s stone-grey authority is interrupted by a sheet of construction orange. Designed as a practical barrier, it becomes the most confident element in the scene, laying a vivid gesture across the city’s habitual seriousness.

The architecture itself does not change, but the way we read it does. For one brief moment, utility behaves like fashion and the metropolis loosens its tie. A spontaneous act of colour turns routine infrastructure into wit, tension and visual theatre.

Limed European Ash

THE MATERIAL

European ash is finished with a pale limed surface that settles into its open pores. The treatment preserves the grain while giving the wood a clear, architectural luminosity.

Chalk Ash completes this edition through structure rather than contrast. Its pale surface gives the image room while preserving a distinctly architectural character.

A muted orange chalk finish that draws on the colour of the work without competing with it. Developed exclusively for this work.
