A STRUCTURE
Straight Ahead Until There Is Nothing Left
Someone built a line here.
And apparently forgot to stop.
Timber posts, woven structure, water. A narrow construction runs straight outward until it disappears somewhere in the haze.
No destination in sight.
Still remarkably convincing.
Sky and sea sit almost tonelessly on top of one another. The coast has stepped back. And through all that quiet runs this one rough axis, as if someone briefly decided to give vastness a direction.
A STRUCTURE turns landscape into geometry.
Or perhaps the landscape turns the structure into something else.
The longer you look, the less built it feels.
It becomes beat.
Rhythm.
A line between tide, water and horizon.
Quite a lot of architecture for a few wooden posts.
Quite a lot of landscape for one line.
