Naval Air Station Alameda, 2019. A fence, dry grass and pale light occupy a place suspended between history and abandonment. Across the asphalt, clear tyre marks cut through the stillness like the signature of an engine no longer present.
GRID MARKS treats silence not as absence, but as compression. The visible grid of traces, boundaries and empty space turns a seemingly vacant scene into a field of latent movement—minimal, cinematic and charged with the mythology of an American airbase after use.

Naval Air Station Alameda, 2019. Ein Ort zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, zwischen Stillstand und unsichtbarer Bewegung. Frank Kayser verwandelt eine scheinbar leere Szene in ein filmisches Spannungsfeld: ein Zaun, vertrocknete Gräser, fahles Licht – und jene klaren, vibrierenden Reifenspuren im Asphalt, die wie die Signatur eines unsichtbaren Motors wirken.
