ELEVATOR 7/8
Tokyo Car Parking
A YELLOW LAMBORGHINI IN A PADDED ELEVATOR.
There are calmer machines to put in a straitjacket.
Japan. Fluorescent tubes. Metal floor. Soft walls. And right in the middle, a yellow Lamborghini, as if someone had decided that cars occasionally need to be restrained too.
The doors are open. The headlights are on.
Still, nowhere to go.
That is the joke of the whole room: the system built to move the car looks like a device designed to keep it under control.
Half elevator. Half operating theatre.
Mostly straitjacket.
Nothing moves.
For a Lamborghini, that may be the harshest punishment of all.
Finished in Black Beech.
Built for everyday living.
