EVENTUALLY, EVEN CALIFORNIA GETS TOO HOT.

That is when you start seeing shade in everything.

Southern California. Late afternoon. The road stopped being interesting a while ago, the coffee is warm and the air conditioning is conducting mostly symbolic negotiations.

Then the palms appear.

For a moment you think of cold water. Tiles. A chair in the shade. Maybe a beer already sweating before you touch it.

Whether any of that is actually waiting behind there hardly matters.

OASIS.

Sometimes, on the road, possibility is enough.
